Enquiry systems for accounting, audit and tax firms in Dubai and across the UAE. 29 September, 21:30. A company with a December year-end asks who can file its corporate tax return by tomorrow.

Lucidarc Digital builds the enquiry system for accounting, audit and tax firms in the UAE: service and register pages that answer eligibility and deadline questions, intake that collects year-end, free zone and turnover band before anyone quotes, secure document upload, and follow-up after every quote and filing. It runs as a fixed-fee 90-day programme of AED 15,000–30,000. Evidence · published The 90-day system: fixed fee. AED 15,000–30,000 (≈ USD 4,000–8,000), fixed for the first 90 days and covering everything we set up. The audit sets the exact number within the range. 03 · How they choose

How clients choose and enquire.

What happens before anyone contacts you. Open a step for the detail.

  1. 01

    Referrals do the heavy lifting

Clients, business-setup consultants and other advisers are how many firms grow, and nothing here replaces them. What referrals don't reach is the owner who asks a search engine or an AI assistant which firm can take on their audit or file their return.

  2. 02

    Eligibility first, then fit

A buyer's first question is whether you can serve them at all. Mainland companies need a Ministry-licensed auditor, free zones keep their own approved-auditor lists, and the DIFC and ADGM keep their own registers. Only then do they compare experience, scope and price.

  3. 03

    The calendar drives demand

Corporate tax returns nine months after year-end, VAT return dates, free zone audit submission windows, licence renewals, and now the e-invoicing appointment dates. Enquiries bunch up before each one, and the most urgent arrive when your team is busiest.

  4. 04

The FTA register is a shortlist

A buyer looking for a tax agent can filter the FTA's register by emirate and experience, then phone or email the agent directly. Those enquiries arrive with no web source attached, so the channel is invisible in most reports.

  5. 05

    Price first, detail later

Low published entry prices for registrations and filings set expectations, so buyers ask for a quote before anything else. What a real quote needs, such as turnover, bank accounts and transaction volume, rarely comes in the first message.

04 · The leak

Where accounting and tax enquiries get lost.

Most happen after the enquiry arrives. The free audit shows which apply to you.

  1. Leak 01

    Deadline weeks arrive without triage

In the weeks before a filing deadline, a business already past it and a business planning next year send the same 'can you file for us?' message. Intake that asks the tax period end, registration status and whether a penalty has been issued sends the urgent one to a named adviser first.

  2. Leak 02

    Quotes stall on missing inputs

Audit fees depend on turnover, bank accounts and the state of the books; bookkeeping on monthly transaction volume. Gathered by email, those answers take several rounds. Asked as bands in the first message, they give a manager what they need to quote.

  3. Leak 03

Enquiries you can't accept take up the morning

A firm on one free zone's auditor list still gets enquiries from companies licensed in another. Without a check at intake, staff time goes on leads the firm can't serve. Register pages and one screening question catch them early.

  4. Leak 04

Financial statements arrive in chat threads

Trial balances and bank statements sent to a partner's WhatsApp sit on a personal phone with no record. The FTA's professional standards treat a failure to keep systems secure against information leaks as a violation. Documents belong in a secure upload linked to the client's record.

  5. Leak 05

    One-off filings never become clients

A registration or a single return brings a business in. With no follow-up and no record of its year-end, licence renewal or VAT dates, it comes back at the next deadline, if at all.

  6. Leak 06

Independence questions surface after the quote

A bookkeeping client asks the same firm for its audit. The CRM should flag the possible independence question for a partner to decide before anyone quotes, and record any referral elsewhere.

  1. Month 1

Foundation: show who you can serve and catch what they send

What we build · 4 steps
    • Service pages for the lines you run, such as statutory audit, bookkeeping, corporate tax, VAT, liquidation audit and outsourced CFO, each answering the buyer's eligibility question first.
    • Register pages for the registers you actually sit on: the Ministry, the free zone auditor lists, and the FTA register of tax agents with each agent's accreditation number.
    • Intake on the site and a shared WhatsApp Business inbox that ask service, entity type, mainland or free zone, year-end and turnover band, with a secure upload for documents.
    • A CRM with pipelines by service line, a coordinator owning first contact, and a tracked phone number and email for your FTA register listing so that channel is counted.
  2. Month 2

Acquisition: dated answers for the FTA calendar

What we build · 4 steps
    • Answer pages on corporate tax registration and returns, the late-registration penalty waiver condition, VAT registration thresholds and the e-invoicing phases. Each cites tax.gov.ae, carries a date and is approved by a partner before it goes live.
    • Search campaigns timed to filing windows and to register-specific searches, judged on qualified enquiries rather than clicks.
    • A cleaned-up Google Business Profile and consistent firm details across directories, so maps and AI assistants read one version of the firm.
    • An AI-visibility baseline: what assistants answer when asked your buyers' questions, re-tested each month.
  3. Month 3

Automation: every enquiry owned, every date remembered

What we build · 4 steps
    • An assistant that says it's automated, collects bands and dates, explains only what the FTA has published, and hands every case to a named adviser. It never tells anyone they qualify for a waiver or relief.
    • Follow-up after each quote and engagement letter, and a checklist through signed terms and linking the agent on EmaraTax.
    • Reminders, with the client's consent, for year-end, licence renewal and return dates, and a route from a one-off filing to bookkeeping, VAT or corporate tax work.
    • A dashboard of enquiries, quotes and engagements by service line, register and source, referrals included.

What we'd measure

  • Qualified enquiries by service line and register
  • Quote-to-engagement rate
  • One-off filings that become recurring engagements
  • Cost per qualified enquiry, by service line and deadline window
  • Share of enquiries with the source recorded, the FTA register counted as its own source
  • Share of client records holding year-end and renewal dates
  • Share of documents received through secure upload rather than chat

Measured in your own accounts from the first month. Any target is a planning range, never a promise.

07 · Choosing an agency

How to choose an agency for accounting & tax firms.

Questions to ask whoever you hire, including us.

  1. 01

    They know your registers

Ask how they'd present a firm that sits on some free zone auditor lists and not others. The answer should be a page per register and a screening question at intake, not one generic 'approved auditors in Dubai' page.
  2. 02

They won't write 'guaranteed' for you

Ask to see the claims they'd make. False promises and misleading representations are black-point violations for tax agents, and the ethics code bars exaggerated claims for accountants. Copy should state what's on the register and what you do.
  3. 03

Their tax content is dated and sourced

Deadlines and thresholds change, and e-invoicing dates have been revised before. Every page should cite tax.gov.ae, carry a date, and be approved by your partner before it goes live.
  4. 04

    Documents never travel by chat

Ask how a trial balance gets from the client to you. A secure upload linked to the client's record is the answer; a WhatsApp thread on a partner's phone is not.
  5. 05

    They plan for deadline seasons

Campaigns, content and intake capacity should be set well before the deadlines your clients' year-ends create, not switched on in the last week.
  6. 06

You own the accounts and the data

Website, ad accounts, CRM, WhatsApp number and the client records in them belong to the firm. Client confidentiality is your obligation, so the data should live in your systems, not the agency's.
  7. 07

They tell you what they've done for firms like yours

Ask for accounting or tax clients you can call. We have none yet, and we'd rather you heard that from us.

08 · The rules

The rules that shape accounting and tax marketing in the UAE.

Each regulator's own document, in plain words, linked and dated. We build every page, ad and message to fit them.

  1. Rule 01Federal Tax Authority (FTA)

    No false or misleading representations

FTA Decision No. 1 of 2024 (in force 1 July 2024) scores 100 black points, expiring after 24 months, for obtaining or seeking professional work 'in any unprofessional manner', including false or misleading representations intended to deceive a client or prospective client, or claiming the ability to gain a special advantage or trigger action by the FTA through inappropriate or unlawful means. An individual tax agent reaching 200 points is deregistered. The attached Professional Standards Guide adds that a tax agent must not make false promises or act on untested assumptions to attract clients.

    As read
  2. Rule 02Federal Tax Authority (FTA)

    Aggressive tax planning

The same table scores 200 black points, which never expire, for promoting, designing or jointly designing aggressive tax planning marketed to a number of taxpayers, with an intention to breach any law, or which would jeopardise the integrity of the tax system or result in a loss of revenue due to the FTA.

    As read
  3. Rule 03Federal Tax Authority (FTA)

    Confidentiality and secure systems

The table scores 100 black points, expiring after 24 months, for sharing information about any taxpayer, client or otherwise, with a third party without their explicit written consent unless there is a legal, professional or regulatory obligation to disclose, and the same for failing to maintain secure systems to avoid information leakage.

    As read
  4. Rule 04Federal Tax Authority (FTA)

    The register is for information

The Professional Standards Guide says that, generally, it is not the FTA's role to promote the use of tax agents or to promote certain tax agents, and that the FTA will publish a list of registered tax agents on its website for information. The published register shows each agent's tax agent accreditation number (TAAN) and firm.

    As read
  5. Rule 05Emirates Association for Accountants and Auditors (EAAA), adopting the IESBA Code

    Honest marketing for accountants

Requirement R115.2 of the IESBA International Code of Ethics says that when undertaking marketing or promotional activities, a professional accountant shall not bring the profession into disrepute, shall be honest and truthful, and shall not make exaggerated claims for the services offered or the accountant's qualifications or experience, or disparaging references or unsubstantiated comparisons to the work of others. IFAC's UAE profile records that the EAAA adopted the 2023 IESBA Handbook in full as its code effective 31 March 2024.

    As read
  6. Rule 06Ministry of Economy and Tourism (MoET)

Who may be called a chartered accountant

According to Clyde & Co's summary of Federal Decree-Law No. 41 of 2023 on the Regulation of the Accounting and Auditing Profession (in force 28 March 2024), only individuals licensed by the Ministry to practise accounting and auditing may describe themselves as 'Chartered Accountants', and accounting and audit firms and chartered accountants may not disclose secrets obtained in their professional work except in defined cases, such as where the client requests or approves it.

11 · Questions

Questions accounting & tax firms ask us.

What does a marketing agency do for an accounting or tax firm in the UAE?

It makes the firm findable by businesses that search, or ask an AI assistant, about audits, corporate tax and VAT, and makes sure each enquiry reaches the right partner with what they need to quote. Lucidarc Digital builds that in 90 days: service and register pages, deadline-aware intake, secure document upload, follow-up after every quote, and reporting by source.

Can an accounting or tax firm in the UAE call itself 'FTA approved'?

The safer claim is that your agents are listed on the FTA register of tax agents, with each accreditation number, which a buyer can check. The FTA's professional standards guide says it is generally not the FTA's role to promote certain tax agents and that it publishes the register for information, although its own press releases refer to 'approved Tax Agents'. Your counsel settles the wording.

What can a registered tax agent say in marketing?

What's true and checkable. Under FTA Decision No. 1 of 2024, false or misleading representations to a prospective client, or claiming the ability to gain a special advantage with the FTA, score 100 black points, and an individual agent is deregistered at 200. The attached guide also rules out false promises to attract clients. That is what the unofficial translation says; your counsel confirms it.

Can we use client logos, testimonials or case studies?

Only with the client's written consent and your counsel's approval of the wording. The FTA's standards score sharing a taxpayer's information without explicit written consent as a violation, and Clyde & Co's summary of the accounting law says firms may not disclose information obtained in their professional work except in defined cases, such as with the client's approval.

Can we write content about saving tax?

We write factual, dated explainers of what the FTA has published, approved by a partner. We don't write 'tax-saving' campaigns: the FTA scores promoting aggressive tax planning marketed to a number of taxpayers at 200 black points that never expire.

Will the assistant tell an enquirer whether they qualify for a penalty waiver or Small Business Relief?

No. It can point to what the FTA has published, for example that the late-registration penalty waiver depends on filing the first return within seven months of the end of the first tax period, but it never says 'you qualify'. It collects the dates and hands the case to a named adviser.

How do you handle the rush before a corporate tax deadline?

By sorting it at intake. Each enquiry is asked its tax period end, registration status and whether a penalty has been issued, then routed to the adviser who handles that kind of case. We plan campaigns and capacity months ahead. We don't promise how fast anyone replies.

Is this worth it for a small bookkeeping practice?

Probably not. A fixed fee of AED 15,000–30,000 (≈ USD 4,000–8,000) for 90 days makes sense for a firm with several service lines or partners and room for more clients. A sole bookkeeper is usually better served by a clean Google Business Profile, a clear price page and referrals.

How much does it cost?

The 90-day system is a fixed fee of AED 15,000–30,000 (≈ USD 4,000–8,000), then a monthly retainer from AED 5,000 (≈ USD 1,400). Ad spend is separate and paid direct to the platform. Custom development is quoted separately.

Have you worked with accounting firms before?

Not yet. We have no accounting, audit or tax client, so there's nothing in this sector we can show you. The accounting playbook is illustrative, a fictional firm showing what we'd build and measure, and the free audit shows which firms AI assistants name today for your services.
